I am excited to announce thatIn a little over a week, I am going to begin working at the local children's museum as the assistant manager, and I can barely contain my excitement. Yes, it is true! If you have read the about section of this site, you know that some of the things that I want to do with my life include running an educational program and helping out more in my community, and this job allows me to dabble in both of those things, as well as even more of my interests. I will get to: -Work with children -Develop and execute educational programs -Continue to work with social media and marketing -Make a difference in children's lives -Get experience in museum work -Develop museum exhibits -LIVE THE DREAM! It was a huge step for me to leave my current job for new, unexplored territory, but I am positive that it is the right step for my life! I can't wait to get started! My first day is July 29th, so send good thoughts my way if you happen to think of it on that day!

5. Take breaks when you need to. I cannot stress this enough. When you need to take a break, do it! Get up, walk around your office, go outside and get some fresh air and a coffee, check your Facebook or Twitter feed, or just sit in silence for a little while. You are of no use to anyone if you aren't mentally there, so do everyone (including your stress response) a favor and take a little me time to recharge. These are all ways that I help myself stay grounded and in a good mood while I am at work. Granted, they don't always work and I do find myself getting stressed (often!), but I find that I am much less stressed than when I was before I incorporated all of these things into my office and work routine. I hope this is helpful!
